The 1st annual Drain hoisting competition was held by Marathon to celebrate the holidays and a record breaking sales year for the company. Read description & view photos from this great get together!
Marathon Employees find time for some fun to start the holiday season. The entire staff participated in the 1st annual drain hoisting contest where they were asked to hoist one of our insert drains with a clamping ring, combine weighing close to five pounds. It was a great team building exercise as well as very competitive. As the time ticked by, 1-minute, 2-minute, 3-minutes, some started to drop out as few continued. Roberta in our accounting office was the champion for the women with just over 4 minutes beating even some of our strong men. Great job by her for sure. Finally, there were two, Nick our intern from the US Army and Chris our Marketing lead, were amazing and toughed it out until more than 6 minutes passed and Chris was victorious. The winning time was clocked at 6 minutes and 18 seconds. The winners got a half day off and everyone enjoyed the event followed by a lunch which included a 3-foot-long sub as a centerpiece. What a great way to kick off the holidays. Cheers everyone.
Since we began using Eterno Adjustable Paver Supports last fall, we’ve been very impressed with the ease of installation, which in turn has benefited us greatly by reducing our labor costs. In addition to the labor cost savings, compared to the other adjustable paver supports on the market, we’re very pleased with the self leveling head, which is a major advantage when adjusting the pavers. The unique adjustable key allows for adjustments without removing the pavers. Other paver supports do not have this feature and are more cumbersome and labor intensive.
Another benefit is the new bi-component head of soft rubber which reduces any noise when walking on the pavers and helps ensure no movement of the pavers. The Eterno Adjustable Paver Support system has given us an effective edge over our competition with the ease of installation and the savings on labor cost. We’re very pleased that we came across this product."
