IPE (pronounced EE-pay) is the finest quality wood decking material available. IPE is an exotic hardwood that is naturally resistant to rot and decay and is 8 times harder than California Redwood.  MRP Supports' IPE Deck Tiles are offered with a smooth deck board surface only and have the below coefficient of friction ratings.

Dynamic:Wet - .43FP

Grooved decking surfaces are not recommended…Why?

Grooved surfaces reduce surface area contact with a shoe and are more difficult to clean
supporting the collection of food and dirt which encourages fungi growth further reducing slip
resistance. MRP Supports' Deck Tiles are rated to carry a live load of 100 psf.

*Use of Cleaning or Finishing products on Iron Woods® Deck Tiles in roof applications is not
recommended without consulting product manufactures due to potential risk to EPDM or other
roof substrates.
